Had them replace my coil overs that were leaking with new FSD Koni's that I supplied. They replaced them and found other minor things that needed to be replaced and called me to verify if it was ok to do the work. I am very pleased with the job I had done. They are a little pricey but well worth it.

It is so refreshing to find honest mechanics that aren't looking to rip you off. I felt compelled to tell my story - I brought my daughters Volvo S70 into the shop because it needed a smog and the service engine light was on. After several days of trying to ascertain what issue was the guys were able to diagnose the problem. They recommended I contact Volvo to ensure there was not recall on this specific part before proceeding with the repair. Most other shops prematurely diagnose, fix, and charge only to find that it didn't resolve the issue. This is just one of the may reasons I will continue to have my Volvo's serviced at Tony & Brothers! Thanks guys - keep up the great work and know that honesty does really go a long way....

I have been going to Tony & Bros. for more than 10 years now, and have never received anything but honest and helpful service. I have taken my 2000 VW Jetta and now my 2003 VW GTI VR6 to their location and have received awesome service and great advice to keep my car running. The new guy, Alex, has just as much integrity as the Brothers, and is a great addition to their team. I ALWAYS got up-sold at the Sunnyvale VW dealership and never left there without paying hundreds more than their estimate. At T&B, their estimates are very close to the number that you pay when you leave. I am a VW person and will always be taking my cars to T&B as long as I am in the SF Bay Area!

Wow, I can't believe it's been 10 years, Grant! It's always such a pleasure helping you out with your VWs, and I'm flattered to hear that you trust us over any other repair shop in the Bay Area--that's saying a lot, and I appreciate it. We're really happy to have Alex on the team, too (although I guess he isn't really the "new guy" anymore). I'll make sure to let him know how much you value his expertise. How is your car running? Next time you need help, please don't hesitate to give us a ring. Thank you, and take care. Cheers, Lou Kristovich

This place is awesome! We just moved into town and were having an issue with the car that the automovers damaged. We had Tony & Bros look at it and felt they were honest and straight forward with us. Lou, really knows cars. He'll also explain everything in layman's terms so that you understand it to the level of detail he does. We brought our other vehicle in after that experience. We had a quote from our old mechanic (in CO) and asked what they'd charge. Lou didn't believe that the part had failed, he'd never seen it, but was willing to look at it for me. Sure enough, the part was faulty, but their quote came in $300 LESS than my guys in CO. (beginning to wonder about them now) These guys are honest, straight-forward and conscientious. Despite the fact that we're moving again (to the East Bay) we'll still be coming to them. They've won our business hands down!

I have taken my vehicles to Tony and Brothers for over 10 years. They do good work and charge a fair price. I am glad to have them as a service and rely on them for my needs.

Very helpful guys. The "other" brother isn't actually there now but the new guy is still very good, nice, helpful...etc.

Those boys are the BEST. They arn't shy helping right away! looking at the problem you have when stopping by without appointment. One time they fixed a stucked seat-belt; after workig on it for about 15 min didnt ask for anything and didnt even take a tip. They are straight forward and you can feel confidence and honesty - its the kind of place you can trust what they say; no push or suggest doing this and that... only when one of my lightbulbs gave up did they incourage me to fix it as soon as possible (after I was reluctant since the new LED so expansive!) My car is there right now as I write....One time (at the70'maintainance) they checked on a noise on and off in the front of car. There was no bill for 'failure investigation' and the car stopped doing it :-) They are magic as well. I never had a thought about how happy it can make you once you know your car-duties are in good hands! It's awsome! Esp. since I got a complicated 'JamesBond, can do it all' Car (Touareg) and do trailering with it, I am just blissed to have somebody so trustworthy. I also read some other comments, and the fact that they reffered one job to VW dealer, no earning on failure search, says a million. Only honesty can do that. I also feel very good as a car-woman there. No strange look at me when I come in with another strange noise (I hear:) to check and always time to listen and talk over concerns. Its the place like good old days, having coffee in your car-shop and chat. THUMBS UP HIGH! Take your car in there - you will become a happy camper with your car-needs for sure.

I took my Volkswagen R32 in for an oil change and have a couple other small issues looked at and when I came to pick up my car I ended up talking with Lou for an extra 15 minutes as he gave me some good maintenance pointers and suggestions without being pushy about having the work done at his shop. I'd recommend Tony & Bros to anyone who expects straightforward and friendly service.

It's quite funny to see how the review here are extremely positive or as negative as they can get! People, Tony and Bors is probably one of the best auto repair shops in Sunnyvale. I have had all of my cars serviced there and I will continue to do it. Why? Because they are professional, and actually pretty honest! Lou is great to do business with. I have taken a "beat up" Golf, Porshe, and a Saab and I am about to take my 2006 Volvo there. I had a check engine problem a couple of years ago and my Golf wasn't passing smog check. They worked on my car and didn't charge me anything until the car passes smog check. How amazing is that. Oh and if they tell you to go to the dealership or somewhere else if they can't fix anything or if you feel like it is expensive, just do it please. Don't negotiate and act like they are unprofessional. At least they are honest. How many auto shops you can name that will do that, huh....?
